Valiant 96
If you haven't be sure to download Firefox 2. It boast of a whole list of new features that can be found here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/features.html I think my favourite for now is the spell check. This thing spell checks as you type. I think it's extremely useful for RPers here! I can't wait for more add-ons to be converted from FF 1.5 to FF 2 compatible. Xover 0
I wish Tabs Stuff was still compatible. Specially Session Saver...
Rad 0
Already did. Lol, I didn't know about add-ons until just recently, and I've been using Firefox for over a year now! Still, the benefit of not using them is that I had no problems updating.
winders 0
Hmm inbuilt spell check.
Valiant 96
I wish Tabs Stuff was still compatible. Specially Session Saver... Aren't those built into Firefox 2?

Valiant 96
If you close FF 2, it will give you an option of restoring the previous session or start a new session.
Rad 0
Weird. That option only came up when my PC restarted without a proper shutdown. Kind of like MS Word's Document Recovery. Other than that, it never asks me if I want to restore a previous session after closing it properly.
winders 0
i'll try it in a second

hannahkiki 0
I am not "reccomended" to change to Firefox 2 because I am not using XP. Bleah.
Seth Jedan 0
I'll stick with my 1.5 with most of the same features through add-ons.
Valiant 96
I am not "reccomended" to change to Firefox 2 because I am not using XP. Bleah. Poor girl IE 7 only supports XP. They're gonna leave all those on older OS behind.
Xover 0
o.O hmm... I think must go and change options to get the thingo Val has. I check now...
winders 0
I only got the resume session once and that was when I force closed my comp using the power button while firefox was up :S
Rad 0
Figured it out: Tools->Options->Main Under "When Firefox starts", you have to choose "Show my windows and tabs from last time." I always set my browser to "Show my homepage".

Valiant 96
There you go. I can't think of any reason not to use FF2 The only drawback for me is the heavy resource usage. It can go up to 200mb but that might be due to it running for more than 12 hours.
Rad 0
RAM or hard drive space?
Valiant 96
RAM. It used to be only 100+ back on FF 1.
Rad 0
I'd say that's more like Windows and other programs running in the background. I only had 128MB of RAM on my old 450MHz, but it could more than handle Win98SE and FF 1.5 with over six tabs open.
Valiant 96
I checked in the task manager. The 200mb alone is used by FF2. The remaining 1.2 gb are used by other processes.
Rad 0
Strange. My Task Manager only reports a 60~70MB use, even with five tabs open to different sites.

Valiant 96
It might be due to the long hours it has been running? Or does watching video streams affect that greatly?
