But yeah, Silverleaf, every military is assumed to have an Engineering Corps, in one form or another. There is no specific mention of these branches of service in Gundam Seed, but they exist (represented by all the technicians who work in the bases and hangers). The british army now has the Trojan and the Titan - basicaly armored construction vehicals, so i'm guessing that somwhere thereshould be armored construction mobile suits. That's simply because mobile suits weren't designed for construction, and that they're already pretty armored compared to everything else in a military's arsenal. Structures and fortifications in Seed are still built using cranes, bulldozers and other construction machines, though it wouldn't be unusual for mobile suits to be used in lifting or carrying around large pieces of material or debris. They're just not used for actual construction or repair, probably because an entire set of construction vehicles would still be far less expensive to purchase and maintain.
