Rad 0 Posted October 29, 2006 Share Posted October 29, 2006 With the approval of a number of members to the Orb Union, and several more among the other factions, the Faction Leaders of Orb have now decided to unveil the reason behind our refusal to allow RPs in our territories: In the near future, role-plays in Orb will officially begin with one of the Orb Union's most important occasions: Orb Foundation Week! This event commemorates the founding of the nation, and all approved characters are invited to attend, whether as tourists or perhaps ambassadors of their nations. It will only be held in Kusanagi, but it will be broadcasted world- and space-wide, especially on Persepolis, which may also have it's own celebration. The main event will be a parade, with floats and a marching band, culminating with the annual speech of the Princess of Orb from the balcony of Parliament. We at Orb would like to know everyone's thoughts on the matter, especially suggestions anyone may have to make the event a hopefully excellent starting point for the role-plays here at Advent Destiny. ---------------------- A point to note: although characters in the FREE Forces may choose to role-play as taking a holiday break during the event to participate in the festivities, this does not mean that Orb's guard will be down. On the contrary, security in all of Orb (especially the military facilities) will be tighter than usual, considering the possible presence of representatives from the other factions. As such, potential troublemakers are not encouraged to role-play in Onogoro or at any other sensitive locations, as chances are their thread may end up being ignored. Rad 0 Posted October 30, 2006 Author Share Posted October 30, 2006 That's a great idea, but until you guys get your pilot's wings (license), you have to assume that you won't be able to participate in it other than spectating. If you want to be on-duty during this time, feel free to pick out a 'special duty' or something, like being part of the military's float in the parade, or even security detail. It would be a great time during which my character could network with others and just have the chance to float around Orb for the day. Also, perhaps the celebration would be a good time for Orb to put up showcases aside from those which revolve around MS. With a character who used to be a photographer I know Takashi could post some of his old work in a gallery somewhere or something like that.
