They didn't officially give up, but you're probably going to work with the A.E.U.G. during this war. So you can still be a Federation soldier doing this though. The Federation's in a slightly better position then. They're still recovering from the Titans stuff and most of their mobile suits are outdated though. At least they're still trying at the point. Also, will faction leaders be playing as canonical characters like Bright and Haman, or will they be original characters?
