Rate the Gundam series

Which Gundam Universe is your favorite?  Which series kicked some serious duff and which series left you wondering just what the heck those animators were thinking?  This thread should primarily be used just to rate the series, not to critique other people's opinions on each series; after all there are things about each series and universe that we like and dislike and there's no need to hash out what's already been set in stone in the Gundam universe... or is it drawn on paper, I don't know I'm so confused...

I haven't seen all the other series, but I'm now getting every episode of Gundam there is. Except for those whom I feel to be really...sorry for the word...worthless. So lemme try this.

* Mobile Suit Gundam - 3 - not watched; fine mecha; bad anime but there is special edition out with some new additional footage; still giving a go for this

* Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam - 3 - not watched; nice mecha; bad anime; still giving a go

* Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ - 3 - not watched; nice mecha; bad anime; still giving a go

* Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - 8 - watched; superior mecha; sperb anime, some best combat scenes I've ever seen, including the story

* Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket - 4 - not watched; fine mecha; I'm feeling with the character designs most especially the uniforms; one the best militaristic series

* Mobile Suit Gundam F91 - 2 - watched; fine mecha, very unique in a way; terrible story; Hey, this is the only place were I've seen mechas marching and Zeon cant even do that

* Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory - 7 - not watched; superb mecha designs; I agree with Asahi...Top Gun of Gundam;

* Mobile Suit Victory Gundam - 0 - I simply have nothing to say about this

* Mobile Fighter G Gundam - 3 - watched; hilarious mecha design, except for the main mechas; even though its a crapy story, its unique; this should be a comedy gundam, it comprised of nearly all gundams series mechas and some spoiler designs. It also revolutionized the phrase of Lock On to Rock On. Some mechas series even non-gundam have used this phrase, intentionally. 'Rain...Allanbie...GAWD you two are cute"

* New Mobile Report Gundam Wing - 6 - watched, the first one I've seen and the one that set me towards mecha; Mecha design is good; anime is fine. Though it talks about alot of pacifism, GW is the most militaristic gundam I've seen. "GAWD...Noin you have a very sexy voice in english"

* Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team - 8 - watched; fine mecha design, even though theres not much new, except the apsalus; The first time I saw the intro, I thought this ones gonna be the most militaristic gundam out there, but as I watch, theres alot missing. Theres not much fights but alot of love. I love the char design. "Aina...I LOVE you!!!"

* After War Gundam X - 0 - again I have nothing to say about this

* New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz - 8 - watched definitely as GW I think is the one the highly commercialized series; superior mech, love katoki; Animation is smooth; though again story just fine. With just a small run time, its very militaristic "relena...you're so fine now"

* Turn A Gundam - 0 - I have nothing to say but...thats a big mustache; another unique storyline "talk about heavy mustache'

* G-Saviour - 0 - nothing to say

* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED - 9 - watched, impossible for even not to like some parts of SEED; impressive mecha design and some overkill one leading to Godmodish; I'll be honest...SEED is the best I've seen, yet. Very militaristic in a lot of ways. Though storyline a bit lame about racism. Though it technology knowhow is very advance, its stuck with the way we think of today. Impressive char design, sexiest people I've seen. English dubbed have some very smooth voices. "Natarle!!! Why do you have to die!?"

* Superior Defender Gundam Force - 7 - watched; fine mecha design; a lot would say this sucks a lot, but consider that this series was made for younger people. It is not for enjoyment of younger adults or adults. So if you're gonna watch this I suggest thinking like a young child. Guess what, I did and I appreciated it much.; Where can you get a Full 3D Gundam? Its only here or MS IGLOO. Very funny. I let my nephew watch it and guess what...he started to like mecha. Love the Zako Zako Hour. English dub is the best I've heard. "Ladies and gentlbots..welcome to the zako zako hour...todays meeting is all about..."

* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny - 6 - watched; impressive mecha and more overkill designs; Still militaristic. Very bad story. Seriously...who would want to follow the destiny plan...cant believe the people have become dumb because of Destiny. It should be called Communist Destiny Plan. And the rise of emoness in gundam. Still char designs are very sexy. "Shinn...Why wont you just DIE!!!"

* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Stargazer - 9 - watched; again, superior mecha design nearing to the point of overkill; Very militaristic. Smooth animation. I feel mobile dolls appearing in CE

* Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - 6 - not watched; good mecha, alot of uniqun and weird designs; very promising. Combined 2D and 3D animation. Char design that rival SEED's designs. "Glory to the Revolution!!!"

* Mobile Suit IGLOO - 9 - watched; mecha designs are good; Cant believe this was not added. All short but very nice stroies. Mecha in pure 3D is for the win. Very militaristic

Universal Century - 8 - hell, nearly half of it is theres

Future Century -  0 - the future...hell no

After Colony - 6 - after colony...you're still building more colonies. The fastest century to build colonies

After War - 0 - you're still in a war

Correct Century - 0 - so there is wrong century out there

Super Defender Universe??? - 2 - every things colorful, shinny...and deformed

Cosmic Era - 8 - were theres a lot of dumb people.

Anno Domini - 5 - cool...its our time...so when do we get a MW. Is Bush still here?

Sighs, the point of the "0" was to completely avoid rating series that you haven't watched.  After all if you haven't seen it how can you know whether or not it was good?  I'd also avoid making any harsh decisions on Gundam 00 since no one has seen more that Episode 01, but that's up to you.

* Mobile Suit Gundam - 9 - Cmon it started everything, my only gripe about it is that it's obviously dated but it gave me chills when i watched it because i saw where everything came from!

* Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam - 5 - Kind of a let down, i heard so many people pumping this series up and really it was more of a let down the story was good but the characters sucked (save for Char of course) it pissed me off that the Federation was using Zaku rip offs instead of more advanced GMs the mecha was a far cry from the rest of the universe.

* Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ - 0 - havent seen it but i would for gundam fanboy sake! even if i didnt like Zeta

* Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - 8 - it was a pretty solid movie i just wish the had made it longer or even a series it was awesome!

* Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket - 8 - it was a solid mini series although not too much mecha, the only thing that pissed me off was the terrible music they used, if they redid the soundtrack i think this thing would be a 9 or a 10

* Mobile Suit Gundam F91 - 0 - yet to see it

* Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory - 7 - i loved this up to about 2/3rds the way through then once they decided to tie it into Zeta it got kinda bad and they dragged the thing out

* Mobile Suit Victory Gundam - 0 - havent seen it dont really care for it

* Mobile Fighter G Gundam - 4 - Racist gundam! lmao it was alright but it was more ridiculous than anything!

* New Mobile Report Gundam Wing - 9 - first gundam series i ever watched i loved it then and i love it now even if it is funny at times with how the dialogue is, i secretly fantasize about them redoing this series and fixing a few things to make it perfect.

* Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team - 9 - same as char's counter this one had more of a story and excellent fights just a bit short

* After War Gundam X - 0 - havent seen it or heard much about it

* New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz - 8 - it was alright alot of cool fan service, wish there was more to it and they could have composed the story better

* Turn A Gundam - 0 - heard nothing nor seen nothing

* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED - 9.75 - Let me just say this, this is the first anime series where i actually cried watching it lol (Mu deserves my tears what can i say?) the last third of the series had me literally on the edge of my seat howling and hollering for the characters like i was watching the world series, to date this is my favorite anime series of all time

* Superior Defender Gundam Force - 5 - like Konig said you have to get in the mindset of the target audience and this aint so bad (notice how i like it more than G gundam)

* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny - 9 - Loved that they made a sequal and the action sequences are on par with what was shown at the end of Seed, alot of sweet fights too, I'm still waiting for the last two discs to be released still so i dont know how it ends. all in all it needs more Neo fandom

* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Stargazer - 0 - can't wait to see it, i dont know if itll ever get dubbed but one way or another im waiting until im done with destiny before watching this.

* Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - 0 - I'm always happy to hear about a new gundam series and it seems that the progressively get better with time so im going to be waiting patiently for this to show up state side. (yeah i could watch it subbed but its a pet peeve i got where i prefer dubbed)

Universal Century - 7 - alot of good series mixed with bad ones it kind of jumbles the universe up

After Colony - 8 - its pretty story bookish, i think every fan would have liked it if they would have made a real sequal to the series but you cant really do that when "all mobile suits were never seen again"

Cosmic Era - 9 - it's basically a rip off Universal Century but they do things just right

* Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam - 8 - Seen only 10 eps but I like how it started so far, though it was a little hard to keep track of things sometimes...

* Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ - 0

* Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - 8.5 - Pretty good though the ending was kinda a 'WTF?' *hugs MG 1/100 Sazabi*

* Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket - 7.5 - Decent mecha, story was so-so but the characters (yes, even the dumb/naive boy) were especially strong

* Mobile Suit Gundam F91 - 5 - So-so...it seemed like it was meant to be a series but it somehow got cut down drastically into a short movie.  Too many plot holes/sudden character deaths.

* Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory - 8 - The 'Top Gun' -esque series. Okay characters but absolutely kickass mecha on both sides.  And it has the Dendrobium and the Neue Ziel.  'Nuff said.

* Mobile Suit Victory Gundam - 0

* Mobile Fighter G Gundam - 2 - Saw a few episodes...Mobile trace system good, Gundams that perpetuates national/ethnic stereotypes to the EXTREME...not so good, and a bad attempt at making a 'fiery fighting spirit' type of mecha series

* New Mobile Report Gundam Wing - 7.5 - Probably the first major series that drew me into Gundam, though the major political changes/upheavals (all within a year) was rather dubious, and not to mention having to hear Relena squeal "HEERO!" (dub) every other episode was one of the few things that nearly drove me into a killing frenzy. :rawr:

* Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team - 9 - One of the better series I've watched.  The combat was intense and very 'in-your-face' similar to that of real urban/jungle combat, albeit somewhat sporadic.  Love story so-so but the cast of characters was its strong point.  (Norris in his Gouf Custom for the ultimate WIN)

* After War Gundam X - 3 - plot was rather...blah, not to mention it seemed to have been cut down (I think it was meant to be a full 49+ ep series) which created a rather dismal ending...but there are plenty of shiny and sweet looking Gundam designs to look at *looks over at current collection of HG 1/100 Gundam X models...*

* New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz - 7.5 - More Gundam Wing...just with spiffier Gundams and mobile suits (Serpents) all neatly compacted into a OVA/Movie.  Movie > OVA, though I didn't like how they screwed around with the soundtrack.

* Turn A Gundam - 0 - (the CRESTache is a turn off though...)

* G-Saviour - 0 - (And I'll never want to.)

* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED - 7 - It's okay, a good number of characters and numerous Gundams/Mobile suits to glance over.  Story started out okay if a little cliche but then things took a turn...

* Superior Defender Gundam Force - 0 - My brother watched it.  He mentioned something about little Chibi Zakus going "Zaku, zaku!" all over the place.

* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny - 3 - Started out above average with the first fourth of the series with promise until a mix of stage-stealing (yes, you Kira) and angst (don't need to guess) as well as what apparently was the entire disposal of the original premise of the series that ruined everything.  I watched the rest of the series just for the spiffy new suit designs.

* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Stargazer - 8.5 - Despite its length, it provided a good retinue of characters, suits, and a good plot.

* Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - N/A - In progress, can't say much about it at this time.

* Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO - 9 - Should be on the list.   Excellent CG work and character designs/development. (of course mecha designs are top notch, duh) And where else could you get a good look at the Battle of Loum?

* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED - 9 (Basically, this series is what brought me to the Gundam world. Other than that, mecha anime just turned me off. Let me blame Transformers for thinking mecha was stupid.)

* Superior Defender Gundam Force - 5 (The graphics and the characters looked okay. The actions sucked, and I never unders6tood the plot. I liked Bakunatsumaru though.)

* Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny - 7.5 (Too many people died. Even more than in SEED. I mean I've only seen up to episode 28, 32, 33, 46 and 47, but too many people die.)
