The main characters voice actor; Sutsuna I think it was his name and the pilot of Exia is Yagami Light of death note I kept thinking ' Damn it, so familiar. ' and then it suddenly hit me. Riku Ishimaru 0 Posted October 8, 2007 Share Posted October 8, 2007 It looks nice, btw doesn't Exia look like the Strike but with some new equipment? actually now that I think about it... all their gundams are very similar to the ones in seed and/or destiny Like Gundam Dynames, looks seems like Gundam Buster from seed. carpenoctum 0 Posted October 8, 2007 Share Posted October 8, 2007 I'm liking it so far. Some interesting ideas, Some of the characters are a little weird looking but that isnt really a problem. All the mecha look familiar not just the gundams. The ones in the intro look exactly like mecha used by Amalgam in Full metal panic TSR, minus the odd crotch cannon. I'm just glad they didn't overemphasize the questionable designs and put its focus on the situation at hand, at least for now. Theres a Haro in the cockpits... and did you notice how big the Haro is? like its so much bigger than the ones in seed/destiny, or atleast thats how i see it. Nothing to do with my SEED addiction, nor the oversized Haro that makes no sense. I liked the opening up until that Gundam came along. I'll admit however, after I watched the episode, I wanted more although I can't get over how weird the Enact's face looks..(or does it have a face?) Ok, sure, you might think 00 is shit, but hey, I'm giving it a chance (And i'm one of the UC gundam fans!). I'm at odds with the character design thou. Its all pretty boys and even prettier girls *snicker* (they sure didn't skimp of the character hairstyles. Nearly everyone has curls...I'm scared now...) Although I might point out these things, I'm still interested in how this story will turn out. The only thing I guess i've taken a shine to is the Dynames ... Personally Dynames is gonna die a sad death, suit seems too...far range. They better make it something good or else it's gonna die fast. Kyrios just reminded me of Wing Zero. or Epyon...whichever..more like Zero though. Exias...Evangelion all the way They just need to put Shinji or Asuka in there instead. F.A.I.T.H 0 Posted October 10, 2007 Share Posted October 10, 2007 *Aftermath Thoughts on Gundam 00, episode 1*: Well, it wasn't really that explosive of an episode, for those of you who remembered Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny. The pilot episode was a little like that of Gundam Wing, except the fact that they jumped straight into the story about their organisation instead of dallying around. Setsuna's past at the start was interesting enough to speculate what kind of a childhood he had, and how he had got to Kurdistan (or something) as a child soldier. The Gundam that saved his ass then looked a little like the one in the first UC series. Interestingly, I like the designs. Unorthodox they may be as compared to recent designs, the team of Meisters are well-balanced in terms of combat ability. You have a melee specialist (Exia), a long-ranged sharpshooter (Dynames), a speedy flyer (Kyrios) and the One with THE BIG GUNS (Virtue). From what I've heard, apparently some of the pilots' names were an inside joke from the producers, as you should have guessed by now (Lockon Stratos and Alleluyah Haptism). Another thing that interests me is the usual love interest(s) for our protagonists. There's the one 'unidentified' female shown with Setsuna at the start. I'm putting my money on Marina Ismail, but we'll see how it goes. Not too bad for a start, considering the amount of action, the declaration of Celestial Being's existence and purpose as well as the introduction of the mechas and (slight) introduction of the characters. Now it sounds like a mature version of Power Rangers. >_> Well, Kyrios looks like the Wildraubiter from SRW:OG if anyone's played it. The Virtue has features like the GP02A, except it doesn't have a big shield and the huge verniers/coolants. Otherwise, its so-so for now.
