  1. January 25th CE 71 Heliopolis crisis Zaft forces have traced alliance activity to the seemingly neutral colony of Heliopolis. The coordinator task force takes it upon themselves to infiltrate and steal the new alliance mobile suits being rolled out for deployment. During the attack the Zaft team succeeds in procuring four of the five machines. One of the machines, the Strike by name, was commandeered by a young coordinator by the name of Kira Yamato. As the strike fought off the attack from a lone GINN, other forces began to take advantage of the deteriorating situation… ***** Nathaniel hated being rushed, his fingers fumbled over the door code for the third time. “Settle down Hawthorne!” He chided before the woman behind him could quip about him forgetting the code. The Red haired woman bristled at the mind reading remark and shook her head in resignation. “this’ll do it…” Nathaniel cooed as he entered the correct code this time, confirmed by the click of the door unlocking. The man dressed as an Alliance Lieutenant, snatched the handle of the door and twisted it, holding it fast so it wouldn’t lock again. Nathaniel studied his handgun before looking back at Delphine Hawthorne and the four other members of their commando team. The point man was less than thrilled about this next portion of this impromptu operation but it was for the betterment of their homeland so how could he disagree? He made eye contact with Hawthorne as she scooted to the opposite edge of the sealed door. Nathaniel quietly mouthed a countdown to “three”, which the woman mimicked with her free hand for their teammates to see. On the third count he swung open the door violently and followed Hawthorne as she ducked into the corridor, gun raised for any threats. One by one the six man team entered the ship and sealed the hatch behind themselves. As the team pushed themselves through the eerily vacant ship their hopes grew that they could actually pull off this crazy stunt. Their hopes soon met reality as they came to the entrance to the bridge. The team paused by the doo, Nathaniel took the moment to give everyone a stern glance. His team had worked together for many years and could practically read his mind when he gave that particular look, “follow my lead.” The team of operators soon entered the bridge of the Archangel where they met the skeleton crew of Earth Alliance officers. A black haired woman looked at him with both surprise and relief, “Lieutenant! What’s goin on out there? Have we received orders?” Nathaniel cleared his throat as his team moved around the bridge, taking up strategic positions but not putting away their weapons. “We have…” he paused to consider his words, “we’re taking the ship out, I need you to initiate the launch sequence. The stern looking woman nodded grimly and barked out, “you heard the man lets launch the Archangel!” As she said this the other two crewmen began working their controls at their stations. The woman came closer and asked in a lower voice, “so does this mean ZAFT is attacking?” Nathaniel nodded, “they are, we need to deploy the Archangel into the colony and protect the civilians before any more damage can be done! Can I count on you…” his voice trailed off as he hinted to wanting her name. “Badgirulel, Natarle!” She responded eagerly. She seemed on edge, that much was certain, so Nathaniel did his best to hide his growing smile as he looked her. Soon the ship left the dry dock and began floating free. Subtle head nods from Nathaniel’s team soon told him that it was time. “I’m sorry to do this Natarle but I’m taking control of this ship. Everyone step away from their stations, and put their hands up. I promise you, that none of you will be hurt.” As he spoke he leveled his gun at the Earth Alliance Officer, she sputtered, “what?” Nathaniel shrugged sheepishly, “I’m taking this ship in the name of the Orb Union Ensign. I don’t have time to discuss the details right now. All you have to do is surrender so that I can save as many Orb citizens as possible.” Natarle along with all the other crewmen looked confused and angry, but no one put up a fight as the six man Orb team kept their weapons aimed at everyone. They made short work, cuffing and escorting the crew to a confined area as four people stayed behind on the bridge. “See no bloodshed Hawthorne!” Nathaniel pipped as they went about double checking all the systems on the ship. The red haired woman scowled at him, “it would have been quicker to shoot them all…” she muttered and again Nathaniel gave a sheepish grin and nodded, “go ahead and take the Command chair, you studied more of this battleship stuff than I ever did.” His remark did brighten the woman’s mood some, “you mean I’ll be captain?” She raised an eyebrow and Nathaniel shrugged as he looked out the viewport, “Semantics don’t matter right now Delphine, we just need to move quickly.” The reminder replaced the woman’s stern look and she nodded, “very well, lets make course to the alternative manufacturing site. Assault cannons… fire!” In response the Archanel unleashed a volley from its’ two main cannons to destroy the gate keeping it contained. The massive ship erupted out of the flaming debris of the gate to fly into the synthetic skies of the ailing colony. The commando team remained dumbfounded as they studied the damage to their home territory. Nathaniel was about to say something when the fight between the Strike and a CGUE came to everyone’s attention. “What is that?” He asked aloud as the studied the peculiar mobile fighting the ZAFT unit. He was stunned as a brilliant beam lanced out from the mobile suit to try and hit the CGUE. It dawned in Nathaniel that the mobile suit was one of the GAT series, “that idiot!” He yelled out as the overpowered weapon not only glanced the CGUE but tore a hole into the ground of the colony. “The CGUE is retreating!” Someone called out, much to the relief of everyone on the bridge. Hawthorne spoke up then, “lets match speed and land?” Nathaniel nodded, “yeah, lets see if we can capture the Strike with the same trick. Maybe if we take control of all the Alliance assets ZAFT will cease hostilities…” it was as much a prayer as question as he moved for the door. “Ships in your hands Hawthorne!” ***** As Nathaniel approached the Strike with one of his other men he saw a woman, and a man with a group of teens. A mobile armor which had been fighting, asked for permission to land, which they gave to help keep up the charade. “Whose piloting the Strike?” Nathaniel called out as they got closer. The woman turned to look at him and scrunched her face in confusion, “I don’t believe we’ve met? I’m Lieutenant Ramius…” “Are you the pilot Lieutenant?” Nathaniel didn’t hide his contempt as he studied the out of uniform officer, “no” she responded cautiously, as she did a brown haired teen came down the pulley of the Strike’s cockpit. Suddenly it made sense how the machine could move when the OS was supposedly incomplete. “A coordinator?” Nathaniel mused, which caused the woman to stiffen some, along with the teens. A smile grew on Nathaniel’s face, “boy are you a Heliopolis citizen?” Kira tilted his head as he regarded the mysterious Earth Alliance officer. “I am…” he answered tentatively. “Ah then you’ve done your homeland a great service!” Nathaniel leveled his weapon at Ramius as his teammate did the same to Mu. “Lieutenant, this ship is under Orb control, you will be confined with the rest of the Alliance officers we’ve arrested. The two alliance officers looked baffled at this turn of events. “We have precious little time to rectify your mistakes so please cooperate and we might all make it out of this alive.” ***** The jeep bumped precariously as it wound through the abandoned streets of Heliopolis. One battle and one hole in the colony left the place looking quite ragged. Nathaniel adjusted his regular suit as he eyed the road. Nathaniel’s team was stretched thin as it was so he only had two other people with him, both dressed in their own regular suits. He hated leaving the ship like this but knew that he had to. By all accounts ZAFT had secured four other GAT series suits, plus they still had an unknown supply of other mobile suits to boot. “This may be our only chance to level the playing field.” He mused as he entered. The correct code for this security gate the first time. They parked the jeep outside of a nondescript factory and made headway for the interior of the building. They soon found themselves in a dimly lit hangar of sorts with three massive shadows standing next to catwalks. “Hit the emergency lights! We need to hurry!” Even as he made the order he was climbing a ladder to approach the first machine. The lights turned on just as he approached the chest of a black, white, and gold mobile suit. “Astray…” he solemnly addressed. Nathaniel looked to see his two comrades approached the red and blue machines as well. “If we hurry we can snag all the spare parts move it!” Nathaniel moved for the cockpit and popped the hatch. He went inside the brand new mobile suit and went about adjusting straps and booting up the OS. It wasn’t ideal but he had to adjust the operations system much the same as the ZAFT forces had done earlier. In a few moments the Coordinator had his suit moving. “It just might be an even fight now!” He announced. “This is Nathaniel Barondel, Astray launching!”
  2. With enough time, anyone should get used to adverse conditions. Or at least, that’s what she kept telling herself. Over, and over, her tiny capsule tumbled. She clenched her eyes and squeezed them shut tightly. “Please, oh please! Somebody please find my distress signal!” her prayer was much louder than it had the first few dozen times before. Normally she felt confident about herself, about a lot of things in her life. But in that exact moment she felt meek, helpless really. A round ball softly bounced into her and the girl reached out to grab the object. It twirled around in her grasp and fluttered some as the two red eye gazed at their master. “Cheer up! Cheer up!” “Oh Haro!” She gulped as she felt tears welling in her eyes. Clutching the machine closely she grimaced as she began to cry. Despair was now fully taking over. She was stuck in an escape pod with nothing to do besides wait and hope she didn’t breath too much before any help could arrive. A loud metallic clank echoed through the pod, and the girl felt herself hitting the walls of the capsule. “Oh Haro! Are we saved?” The little robot shifted in her hands and flapped open its’ wings, “Rescued! Rescued!” A few more agonizing moments later and the hatch popped open to her escape pod. She squinted as she tried to gaze out at her saviors. “Oh! Hello sir! Thank you so very much for rescuing me! My name is Lacus Clyne!” the stumbled out of the pod and tried to steady herself for a bow of sorts, which was hard to do in zero gravity. Before her stood a young boy, a teenager really, with his hands on his hips, tools in hand. The blonde haired kid scoffed at her remark, “Clyne you say? Hey wait are you the famous singer?!” “Oh my! You’ve heard of me then?” The boy grew a toothy smile, “I think everyone’s heard of you Lacus! But where are my manners?” He tucked the tools away on his belt and reached out with a gloved hand, “My name is Jonathan Locke!” Lacus smiled at the offer and shook his hand, she looked around the empty looking shuttle she was aboard. Reading her expression, he nodded, “Yup its just me and you! This is fortunate circumstances; I was on my way to the Plants. Maybe now they’ll accept me if I help take you home!” “Accept you?” she asked curiously. Jonathan smiled as he returned back to the controls. “Yeah! You see I was in the middle of…” he scratched his chin to think of the right word, “well… I was fleeing my father… to try and immigrate to the Plants.” She cautiously followed and took the seat next to him, “Oh my! Why are you fleeing your father Mr. Locke?” Jonathan smirked some at her politeness but continued instead of trying to correct her. “He’s an Admiral for the Earth Alliance. Let’s just say we don’t see eye to eye… on account of me being a coordinator, much like yourself!” He gave her a friendly smile at the end of his declaration, and she returned the gesture. “Just sit tight Ms. Clyne and I’ll get you back home as soon as I can!” The singer lit up at his promise, “We would very much appreciate that Mr. Locke! And I’ll do everything in my power to make sure you’re welcome in your new homeland!” Jonathan smiled back at her, “I can’t thank you enough!”
  3. MBF-P04 Gundam Astray Green Frame The Orb Union began developing the Astray alongside the Earth Alliance GAT series at the Orb colony Heliopolis in CE 70. Much like the Earth Alliance prototype mobile suits, the Astray Mobile suits are able to use Beam Weapons and and plug technology which would share data and energy with the equipped weapons. Unlike the Earth Alliance prototypes the Astray series was not equipped with Phase Shift armor, instead opting for light weight and higher mobility to compensate for the lackluster armor. (For the Homeland) On January 25th CE 71 ZAFT forces caught wind of the Earth Alliance manufacturing mobile suits and sent a team to steal the new mobile weapons. During the heist a group of Orb commandos responded to the crisis by stealing the battleship Archangel along with the Earth Alliance’s Strike Gundam. During the chaos they secured and activated three Astray Gundams of their own creation and repelled the ZAFT forces at the cost of Heliopolis being destroyed. Green Frame was fully constructed after the Archangel went to earth. It, along with the Purple Frame, were hastily completed in order to be serviceable for the Orb Military. Green Frame would be assigned to Keiran Larris and be assigned to the Archangel along with the other Astray prototypes. Model number: MBF-P04 Code name: Green Frame Unit type: Prototype general purpose mobile suit Manufacturer: Morgenroete Inc. 4. MBF-P03 Gundam Astray Blue Frame The Orb Union began developing the Astray alongside the Earth Alliance GAT series at the Orb colony Heliopolis in CE 70. During the chaos they secured and activated three Astray Gundams of their own creation and repelled the ZAFT forces at the cost of Heliopolis being destroyed. Blue frame was preserved by Geneva Halston during the Heliopolis disaster. She went on to defend the Archangel and defeat two heavy weapons GINNs with her untested unit. Just prior to being deployed again for training exercises on earth, Blue Frame was outfitted new experimental weapons. Model number: MBF-P03 Code name: Blue Frame Unit type: Prototype general purpose mobile suit Manufacturer: Morgenroete Inc. Much like the Earth Alliance prototype mobile suits, the Astray Mobile suits are able to use Beam Weapons and and plug technology which would share data and energy with the equipped weapons. During the chaos they secured and activated three Astray Gundams of their own creation and repelled the ZAFT forces at the cost of Heliopolis being destroyed. Red frame was originally tasked to be commandeered by the Orb Special Forces agent Ed Shiro but was tricked by the test pilot Roane MacMaster. Roane blended in during the chaos and helped transfer the parts for Green and Purple frames while the battle for Heliopolis was fought. Red frame is unique in that it has the first prototype version of a natural operating system installed, with Roane being uniquely qualified to operate the machine. Model number: MBF-P02 Code name: Red Frame Unit type: Prototype general purpose mobile suit Manufacturer: Morgenroete Inc. Operator(s): Orb Union Crew: Pilot only Dimensions: head height 17.53 meters Weight: max gross 49.8 metric tons Armor materials: Unknown Powerplant: Ultracompact energy battery, power output rating unknown Propulsion: unknown Equipment: sensors, range unknown Fixed armaments: 2 x 75mm multi-barrel CIWS, mounted in head; 2 x beam saber, power rating unknown, mounted on shoulders, hand-carried in use Optional hand armaments: Type 71 b Equipment: sensors, range unknown Fixed armaments: 2 x 75mm multi-barrel CIWS, mounted in head; 2 x beam saber, power rating unknown, mounted on shoulders, hand-carried in use Optional hand armaments: Type 71 beam rifle, power rating unknown; shield
  6. MBF-P05 Gundam Astray Purple Frame (aka Mirage) The Orb Union began developing the Astray alongside the Earth Alliance GAT series at the Orb colony Heliopolis in CE 70. (For the Homeland) The Gundam Astray Purple Frame was commandeered by Lieutenant Nathaniel Barondel. He used the unit to fight off a GINN, and eventually confronted the ZAFT flagship to negotiate a cease fire. The Gundam Astray Purple Frame was still in pieces during the Heliopolis incident. It was later fully constructed onboard the Archangel and has been developed the the second generation of Natural Operating System installed. Because the Purple frame was developed later than the other units in its’ line it had several design features that were outline but never implemented in its’ blueprints. The unit was hastily constructed to be serviceable along side the other Astray Gundams. Model number: MBF-P05 Code name: Purple Frame Unit type: Prototype general purpose mobile suit Manufacturer: Morgenroete Inc. Operator(s): Orb Union Crew: Pilot only Dimensions: head height 17.53 meters Weight: max gross 49.8 metric tons Armor materials: Unknown Powerplant: Ultracompact energy battery, power output rating unknown Propulsion: unknown Equipment: sensors, range unknown Fixed armaments: 2 x 75mm multi-barrel CIWS, mounted in head; 2 x beam saber, power rating unknown, mounted on shoulders, hand-carried in use Optional hand armaments: Type 71 b Equipment: sensors, range unknown Fixed armaments: 2 x 75mm multi-barrel CIWS, mounted in head; 2 x beam saber, power rating unknown, mounted on shoulders, hand-carried in use Optional hand armaments: Type 71 beam rifle, power rating unknown; shield (Credit to Frosty for the image!)
  7. Biography Full name: Delphine Hawthorne Faction: Orb Rank: Captain Age: 36 Sex: Female Height: 5’5” Weight: 150 Eyes: brown Hair: red Skin: fair Handiness: right handed Personality Delphine can be cold at times, always task oriented. Despite her professional demeanor she often harbors doubts about herself and her abilities. She can be a facade of strength but a mess of emotions underneath. She can be quite playful with people who she considers close, and even has a reputation as a bit of a flirt outside of duty. Strengths and weaknesses Commander – Delphine is a natural leader. She is easy to follow, and persuasive in her commands, even if she herself doesn’t fully understand the situation. Lack of confidence – in a professional world that competes with coordinators she herself can find herself lacking conviction or harboring self doubt. Though she is good at keeping this part of herself hidden from most, those who know her well enough are able to see when she is feeling uneasy. Ambitious – She is career oriented and has always had aspirations of advancing her military career. She will work protectively of her station and her progress. She is also willing to take questionable risks if it means advancing herself. . Natural – Nothing special about her Genes though she does keep herself in excellent physical condition. Appearance Delphine is very attractive, but often hides her charms behind a military uniform. She will rarely dress up in civilian attire and even then hardly ever in a dress. Her eyes tend to speak volumes as she has what is described as a mischievous smile. History Delphine grew up in Orb and has lived there her entire life. She could be described as a military brat with both of her parents having served in the military. Even growing up she could be described as a tomboy despite her good looks. She lived a fairly normal childhood even going as far as marrying her highschool sweetheart Frank. Despite being married at a young age she was determined to not be tied down with a family and always maintained with her husband that she would be serving in the military like her parents had. This understanding had at times come at odds with her husband, but even so they stayed together. As she progressed in her military career she came to work closely with another officer by the name of Nathaniel Barondel. For the longest time he never disclosed to her that he was a coordinator, but ultimately confided in her when he saw how desperately she was trying she to keep up with his pace of growth. The two developed a mutual relationship that proved how coordinators and naturals could work together to feed of the others strengths. In many regards it was Nathaniel’s “one step ahead” demeanor that drove Delphine to thrive and push herself. Their teamwork culminated as they were assigned to the same special operations team, with Delphine acting as his second in command. The ultimate test was when they were tasked with securing the secret Earth Alliance weapons being developed in Heliopolis. Together they accomplished the mission. Politically Hawthorne was shown in a positive light as the heroic captain of a ship that saved countless civilian lives that day. The added pressure of publicity mixed with the political climate weighed heavily on Delphine’s ego. This was compounded when she was assigned to be the permanent captain of the Archangel, a challenge and opportunity she couldn’t pass up.
  8. Biography Full name: Kalika ‘Kali’ Ananta Faction: Orb Union Rank: Recruit Age: 24 Sex: Female Height: 5’4” Weight: 108 lbs. Eyes: Brown Hair: Black Skin: Caramel Handiness: Right-handed Personality Kali is a humbled individual. She exudes an aura of peace and serenity that adds to her grace and elegance. She is an old soul, she may be alone and introverted but that does not mean she feels isolated or lonely. That is not to say she does not have yearnings to be a part of something that compliments her. She is content, but not complacent to the point that she does not aspire to fulfill her dreams and desires. Kali is beyond her years, what her peers find fun and exciting are just the opposite for her. A typical night could be spent reading, listening to music, or sleeping. She doesn’t believe in making trivial friendships and only makes friends with those she can relate to and confide in. Kali has no qualms with being alone and often takes advantage of her time by engaging in activities that, although would be more enjoyable with company, are fulfilling to her alone as well. It is the little things she finds the most joy in such as the leaves of the trees that change color in autumn, a hummingbird in search of nectar, or the clouds traveling at the behest of the winds that guide them. Strengths and weaknesses Kali finds strength in things she is comfortable; computers and books are her strong suit, and she thrives in the academic arena. She is a keen observer and has an eye for detail and patterns. Kali finds peace within meditation and yoga which she feels provide her clarity and eases her anxiety. Kali suffers from social anxiety which makes it hard for her to assert herself or engage with groups of people she doesn’t know. Kali has not realized her full potential and as such does not know that she is capable of great feats if she applied herself and stepped out of her comfort zone. Appearance Kali large circular frames are a mask, hiding a quaint beauty that she is not aware of. In honor of her Indian/Hindu heritage she has a bindi mark which symbolizes ‘concealed wisdom’. Her dark curly hair is always neatly tucked into an up-do and is rarely seen down in the company of others. She wears her hair down when she is alone and resting. Her body is slender but not too skinny. Her muscles are sinewy accentuated with graceful curvatures. Her style of clothing is understated yet appears chic. History Kali’s quiet existence went by seemingly unnoticed as a citizen of Orb Union. What she lacked in social graces was compensated with academic prowess. It was a rumor that she was a Coordinator due to her intelligence, keen insight, and fast learning capabilities. Her lack of physical skill and her susceptibility to getting sick quieted those rumors. In University, she was considered a prodigy in the field of computers and data analysis. She had taken a quiet career and life as an analyst until the Heliopolis Crisis. She was inadverdently brought aboard the Archangel. It was her quick thinking and observation that helped Captain Hawthorne alert Lieutenant Barondel of the incoming Aegis. While she hoped to return back to her quiet life, Hawthorne felt she would be an asset and asked her to stay onboard the Archangel. Hesistant and unsure of her future, Kali reluctantly accepted her fate. Role plays For the Homeland
  9. Full name: Keiran Larris Faction: Orb Rank: Private first class Age: 23 Sex: Male Height: 5’10” Weight: 189 Eyes: Pink Hair: Black Naturally, Dyed white Skin: light skinned Handiness: right handed Personality Keiran is a generally kind person, but that is offset by how hard it is to get past a rough, rude exterior that protects himself from harm, he cares deeply about his comrades. Strengths and weaknesses Coordinator – Being a coordinator allows keiran to be above average in terms of learning capability and adaptability, though he tends to leave this part of him rather wasted, as he does not spend as much time researching anything or studying up, as much as he does thinking of ways to improve what gear he has. Focused - Once Keiran finds something to fixate on, he focuses on it until he considers whatever goal he has as completed, he does have a tendency to hyper fixate on things directed to himself Self Conscious - Keiran is extremely self conscious, an issue which also extends to piloting, he tries his best not to drag the team down, which leads to him spending unhealthy amounts of time training in simulations or doing mock battles Slow to trust - Keiran has a hard time trusting.. and respecting people who he meets for the first time, coming off as stand offish and quite rude; but once people prove they are worthy of said trust and respect, he does not hesitate to show both of these. Fear of the dark - A childish fear, but one that Keiran has none the less, he hates the dark, as it makes him think of being sucked out of an airlock left to choke in space- though despite that.. he still wants to go to space... just safely. Appearance Keiran is very particular about his appearance, he had gotten into the habit of dyeing his hair white at an early age, after seeing a cool cartoon character do so, and had been doing it since then. After a certain event in his life, he had also started to put on make up or face paint before going out to help himself remain calm; though he is not all vanity, as he takes good care of his body so that he would not slow any of his teammates down. History Keiran was a first generation Coordinator, but unlike some of his fellows.. his family was not particularly rich or influential, he was born the way he was because of a favor his older than average father had cashed in to a close family friend, He had always been a bright mind, intelligent too.. but he was also rather Lazy, and couldn't find any interest in things.. it was because of this that he found out he was a coordinator, as his mother had said it was a waste to have him be one when he failed in his classes after not paying much attention. Though Keiran understood his family didn't resent him, so he decided to focus a bit more in class and did get good grades- though not a top scorer. He had found his true passion after seeing an old cartoon of a fighter pilot, zipping through space and bravely taking down his enemies, he wondered how a guy could be so fearless when the threat of being sucked out into the cold nothingness constantly loomed over him, this had sufficiently inspired him to want to join the military, but instead of being a fighter pilot, he trained to become a mobile suit pilot instead. He quickly found himself excelling in this field, though only after a few grueling moments of dragging his team down through his over zealousness and glory seeking. He learned to temper this side of him and became an effective pilot. From here he was bounced around a few divisions before joining a special operations team, where he excelled and was proven to be an excellent piece for the team he was in, though word is.. he's being transferred to a new team.
  10. For the Homeland This will be an Orb centric roleplay that takes an alternate look at the events of Heliopolis, and how that cascades into the politics of the Orb Union on earth. I’m hoping that this will be as much intrigue as it is battles. Although this is going to be Orb focused; by all means feel free to explore characters from other factions so long as it ties in. The Story So Far... This takes place around the beginning of Gundam Seed. Things start out similarly except this time there is an Orb commando team there to take advantage of the deteriorating situation. ZAFT still steals the Aegis, Duel, Buster, and Blitz. However Orb obtains the Archangel, the Strike, and secures all the Astrays that were kept in storage there. It’s during that chaos that our characters begins to appear, namely Nathaniel, Geneva, and Roane. Nathaniel and Geneva use Gold and Blue frames respectively to fight of the second wave of ZAFT mobile suits but the results are similar to the show with Miguel getting killed, and Heliopolis getting destroyed. From this point Nathaniel is able to negotiate a cease fire with the ZAFT forces there and they go their separate ways. On their return home the Orb special forces who stole everything are met with contempt and it flairs up the politics with the Orb council decided to blame Uzumi Atha and looking to elect new leadership. There are politicians who would side with either the earth or ZAFT forces respectively; while others seek ulterior motives (Namely Lord Rondo Sahaku). A special forces team is organized from various Orb citizens/soldiers and designated as Chromatic Team. To solidify their possession of their own military hardware, the Archangel was sent out to a training island to make reform tests on the Astrays and further develop their natural Operating System. Unbeknownst to Chromatic team Lord Sieran attempted to sell out the captured units to the Earth Alliance to gain favor. The Astray units fought off the Alliance forces with relative success. They returned home for some leave time during which the Orb leadership underwent a election. The board elected Lord Sahaku as the new chairman for the Orb Union. Lord Sieran was unwilling to accept those results and organized a coup with test pilots loyal to him. It was revealed that he controlled the M1 Astrays and used those units for an insurrection. currently Chromatic Team is fighting for their lives quelling the rebellion while fending off ambitious ZAFT forces trying to inflict damage on the Homeland. Please note that initially there will be limited access to mobile suits: Gold Frame (Nathaniel) - Damaged Blue Frame (Geneva) - Destroyed, pilot MIA Red Frame (Roane) - Damaged likely out of action Strike Gundam - Modified currently used by Lord Sahaku Green Frame (Kieran) Mirage Frame (Kalika) Further on the M1 Astrays will become available as well! Depending on circumstances it could be possible to obtain other mobile suits from other factions too!
  11. Biography Full name: Nathaniel Barondel Faction: Orb Rank: Lieutenant Age: 29 Sex: Male Height: 5’9” Weight: 180 Eyes: brown Hair: long black hair Skin: fair Handiness: right handed Personality Nathaniel can be aloof at times but his carefree nature often hides his meticulous demeanor. Strengths and weaknesses Coordinator – this makes him exceptionally quick to learn and adapt to situations. Often before a unique situation he still spend time researching a problem to try and master it. Being a coordinator also makes him more physically resilient. Subterfuge – Nathaniel is skilled in the art of deception and subtlety. He can sense people’s mood and is quick to use his care free nature to capitalize on his interactions with others. Fear of heights – he has an irrational fear of heights, oddly he doesn’t feel this anxiety as much when in a mobile suit (probably due to scale). But a cliff edge will make him nervous. Terrible love life – despite being approachable, Nathaniel doesn’t have a good track record with women. At times this makes him lonely although he’ll hide this fact to keep his comrades in high spirits. Military minded – The military provides a regiment that Nathaniel recognizes as important to countering his relaxed nature. This means that despite his attitude he will default to what is deemed “correct.” This can at times come at odds with what is happening or even limit how he interacts with his teammates. Appearance Nathaniel is quite handsome, with long black hair and brown eyes. He has a muscular body, and is usually sharply dressed with clean clothes and a military bearing. History Nathaniel was born a first generation coordinator. His family was fairly influential and moved to Orb shortly after his birth. Growing up his parents didn’t tell him that he was a coordinator for many years, wanting him to develop at his own pace and discover his own potential. Given the open nature of the country this proved to work out just fine, with Nathaniel excelling at sports and other physical activities. As he got older he soon enlisted in the Orb self defense forces and proved to be an excellent asset, quickly being selected for a special unit (which seemed to gravitate other coordinators as well). After his military service term was up, he was scouted for an Orb intelligence unit. Finding the prospect intriguing, Nathaniel signed up to receive his official “spook” training. While he worked for intelligence he received various promotions until he was a lieutenant. As the Earth/Zaft war picked up in intensity he was tasked with assembling a team of commandos to goto Heliopolis for a special assignment. Nathaniel is fiercely loyal to his homeland and is willing to do what is necessary to protect Orb lives.

This gave her an opportunity and once she graduated, she disowned her family, moving away to begin a new life to study ZAFT units for Orb's military. For the next few years, she worked within the ranks, meeting new people who didn’t treat her poorly.
