  1. [OOC: From 'Fiction and Reality.'] As Demetrius entered the base, he winded his way through until he reached one of the large mobile suit hangars. He arrived just in time to see crews supervising the transport of the Astray Divers to Orb's 3rd Naval Fleet's Takemikazuchi-class carrier. The immediate area was bustling with additional activity as this last-minute move forced everyone to take action. After making some inquiries and personal inspections, he left the men to complete their assigned duties. He quickly went back to his room to pack his things into a plain-looking duffel. Though his position as a representative allowed for him to have an orderly, he politely refused since he'd preferred to deal with things directly. It was not a matter of being stubborn as it was for taking personal responsibility for his duties. As he returned to the hangar, a VTOL landed nearby. He knew that the VTOL was there to transport his delegation and himself to the carrier once everything was ready. The 3rd Fleet would be escorting them while running their usual patrol route near the Equatorial Union. Only the carrier and an Aegis-class cruisers would directly dock at Rangoon. He quickly made his way to a secure console and sent an encrypted e-mail to President de Silva about the sudden 'meeting' before he walked back outside. All that was left was to wait for his 'troops' and for the preparations to be complete.
  2. Morning was a very usual for time for anyone to get up, unless someone has been having a drinking binge all-night long and forgot that it is already almost morning by the time it ended. Not at a place full of smoke and/or alcohol, but a rather simple food stand outside. Hinako is simply underaged to even touch alcohol or anything similar (wine are fine according to her parents), but some of her friends in the military have been doing so for the past few nights out of boredom, and she eventually gave in. Of course, that is an action not recommended by the superiors due to the potential 'loss of productivity' from it. Even if it is not alcohol. Mustering the energy to wake up is a challenging task for her, more so than military exercises and the like. Her parents would have leave her alone to wake up at home, but for some reason that is unknown to anyone, even herself, she would always wake up before 10 in the morning, unless she has been really sick. Bam. A simple fall from the bed landed her on the floor, with her grumbling around from that. She lacked the mental capacity to push herself up from the fall, but her hands does the job of doing so. Teary-eyed and a yawn later, she looked at the clock at the wall, showing that it's already morning. Pushing herself onto her own 2 feet, her body moved by itself into the bathroom for the usual morning routine of getting herself fresh for the day. Getting herself dressed in proper would be a fussy task. She, for one, absolutely abhors revealing clothing (unless required to), so she puts on simple white long-sleeved blouse with thin black vertical stripes, and then a black above-knee-length skirt would do. She does not tug in the blouse, and clips her hair to stop the bangs from going down. Another addition is a pair of high-heeled shoes to complement that. She would not even go on to the extent of carrying any weapons or anything fancy, it is just a simple day out. For her, at least. Taking what is essential to her (skirts are never friendly to huge purses), within minutes, she is already out of the barracks, into the car park, where she passes by an old Japanese-made sports sedan, in pristine condition. It was a car owned by a male friend of hers, who for some reason managed to muster up all the money from pay and possibly some other businesses to actually buy a car like that, just enough to probably show another Sergeant who is interested in cars that he 'mean business'. She have seen the car in action several times, and she never liked the fact that the car basically threatens to shatter anyone's ears at full throttle. Funny that it wasn't an automobile related incident that landed that friend in a coma. Passing by the checkpoint, the MPs cleared her of everything, and quickly she lands herself on a passing bus to the main city. Her target location is not a shopping centre of any kind, like usually females her age would do on a free day, but the hospital. It's probably a good thing the seats are empty at this time in the morning, she never liked sardine can-packed buses. Pressing the bell at where it is the time to do so, she slowly walks off the bus, at the front of the hospital. Reciting some numbers and alphabets, she walked into the hospital, passing by some of the medical personnel on duty here. Some of them might not know her, while some of them might call her as 'the person who is the friend of the Orb pilot in coma', so to speak. The 'Orb pilot in coma' is the person she is visiting, in fact, something she has been doing in the past few months. Maneuvering herself around the corridors and lifts of the hospital, she landed herself outside a ward with a transparent glass window separating herself from the person 'sleeping' inside the individual ward. Placing her hands on the glass pane, she looks into the ward without a word. Months ago tears would flow every time she does that, but now she have learned to control it.

He briefly saluted the officer on duty before heading into the men's locker room to get geared up. His role did not require him to wear battle fatigues, so he went with the full protective equipment required for the Grounds. After strapping on a vest, elbow and knee pads, and some other assorted pads, he grabbed a visored face mask and left the locker room. He then went outside to a small assembly area, where he would supervise this exercise. Chairs, chalkboard, and a few other objects lay there to allow the Team Leader to fully prep his team members about the upcoming exercise. Demetrius checked his watch and realized he still had a little time to spare, so he patiently waited. He then noticed that the map of the current setup had yet to be provided...

  9. Persepolis was built as a replacement for Heliopolis when the latter was destroyed by ZAFT. It was completed in CE82, attracting many young couples to start a home here. The climate here mimics the temperature and weather of the tropics. The mood in the city is generally relaxed. Food In Persepolis, Munoln Walk is famed for the many noodles shops that lines the street. Many of the handmade noodles shops claim to be the best but almost all the shops have more or less equal number of customers. Some customers like their noodles dry, while others would claim the soup makes all the difference.
  10. One thing that Orb prides itself on having, the Kaguya Mass Driver. Security is very tight here, from the ships that patrol the surrounding waters to the soldiers that carry their firearms openly in the spaceport. The spaceport is quite busy during the weekends and moderate during the weekdays. Civilians wishing to travel to space will have to use the spaceport. Families are often seen around the waiting area, either sending off relatives or waiting for the arrival of a shuttle. Recreational facilities at the Kaguya Spaceport include cafes, eateries, shops selling apparels and footwear, shops selling electronic devices, a playground for children and an observation gallery where people can watch the shuttles taking off.

He made a quick stop over at his quarters to pick up a duffel bag and then made his way over to the facility. At this time of day, the shooting range was devoid of any personnel so he had the place to himself. He walked down until he found a suitable alcove and then placed the duffel on the counter. He then carefully pulled out his service pistol and assault rifle, along with several boxes of ammunition. A quick press of a button on the side brought the target clip right up in front of him. He then pulled out a paper target from below the counter and set it on the clip and then pressed the control so that the target zipped along the line out to 30 meters. Then he carefully inspected his pistol, making sure there weren't any particular issues before actually firing the weapon. He meticulously loaded the magazine with rounds from one of the boxes before sliding the magazine into the pistol. Then he put on a pair of shooting glasses and ear muffs as he pulled back on the slide and cocked the pistol. He then eyed the target, which was a black human silouette, before carefully holding the pistol in a two-handed, isoceles stance. In slow succession, Demetrius let off one round after another as he put rounds within the inner circle of both the torso and the head. After firing the last cartridge and replacing the target, he set it once again at 30 meters. But this time, after assuming his stance and hold, he rapidly fired the pistol, causing a cluster of holes to show up around the two inner circles of the target's 'head.' He then looked around as he wondered if any other off-duty personnel may show up...
